CPVV has the power to investigate industry related complaints about organisations or individuals who work in the commercial passenger vehicle (taxi, hire car and rideshare), private bus or driving instructor industries within Victoria.

Ombudsman Victoria
The Ombudsman promotes excellence in public administration in Victoria and seeks to ensure the highest possible standards of public sector service delivery to all Victorians.
Privacy Victoria
Privacy Victoria regulates how Victorian government agencies and local councils handle personal information. Privacy Victoria does not deal with issues relating to the private sector and medical or health records, but they can assist in directing you the right place.
Public Transport Ombudsman (Victoria)
The Victorian Public Transport Ombudsman deals with complaints about public transport that members of the community have been unable to resolve directly with Victorian public transport operators.
Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission
The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission helps people resolve complaints of discrimination (including discrimination based on age), sexual harassment, victimisation and racial or religious vilification through a free, fair and timely dispute resolution service with the aim of achieving a mutual agreement. The Commission also educates people about the rights and responsibilities contained in the Charter of Human Rights, but does not deal with complaints about the Charter.
